@jono sheet 2 of the Akro plans has all of the parts drawn out, are you changing the method of construction from that?
@rong Hi Ron. It will be basically the same but adapted for electric. i have used some of the parts page for guidance for creating the plan formers partly to practice the drawing technique and ensure parts accuracy and give the option to use lighter/thinner ply for the sides. I will probably use Profili for the basis of creating the ribs as it has some good aerofoil modifying tools.Â

I really enjoyed your fusion 360 talkÂ

@jono Have you got a laser cutter yet?

I have bought loads of software in the last 25 years or so and Lightburn stands head and shoulders above the rest for doing what it sets out to do in a simple manner.
I did not even buy it as such, rather it came bundled with a machine.

@pylonuk I think it would help me get my Openbuilds Acro laser machine into a more useable state
@pylonuk Openbuilds Acro I bought this kit and a diode laser head I had it working sort of ok but I think lightburn will unlock its capabilities
Time to watch some Fusion 360 YouTubeÂ
Some more progress but I have been going back and forwards as I learn. I am not sure if I am doing it right so keep all the fingers crossed.Â
At this point I need to decide on a motor and battery and then modify the front end accordingly. I will also need some sort of top loading battery hatch.Â
May be while I think about all that I may tackle the wings 🤔Â

I think the motor is decidedÂ
It fits and I have oneÂ

@jono Looks like we will be cutting some wood soon !!

@pylonuk #getting closer 😀 I got really bogged down with Fusion in the week. After some YouTube and some rethinks later I have made some better progress not sure if it the best way but its a way.Â
And now the wings .....Â

Hi Jono - for the wings I would suggest using Profili Pro, it has all the wing sections you are likely to need and the wizard for generate the wing ribs and exporting them as dxf file is pretty good. This is what I used for the first project on my CNC Router.
