Hi Charlie Cox here. Current Secretary of the Achievement Scheme Achievement Scheme and Fenland MFC Treasurer, BMFA Rep and general dogs body.

Main interest is Scale modelling, either WW2 or Cold War Jets but I do a fair bit of fixed wing training and testing as well.

I have started a build thread on here featuring a Scale Spitfire if anyone is interested. Currently building a Mick Reeves Lightning which will hopefully have a scale finish.

My interests are old school CL stunt and new school electric RC with all of the 3D add-ins to help me keep it out of the cabbages. I am still interested in all things aviation, marine and motorcycling.

Never was any good at anything and getting worse rapidly...

Greetings. I have been an aeromodeller for close on 60 years. I started using CAD for modelling about 30 years ago. I purchased a CO2 laser about 8 years ago and now use that extensively to cut parts, particularly ribs and formers. I also have a small CNC machine that will cut metals. My main interest is in FF scale, electric and rubber although I do fly RC fixed wing and camera drones.

Just signed up to this forum following the very interesting Webinar on CAD and, as requested this is a brief introduction.

My name is Brian Cullen, originally from Merseyside, Lancashire and latterly Cheshire, currently on my second foray into modelling after the usual enjoyable but not very successful attempts at control line and single channel radio control in my teens. Becoming a dad in later years gave the impetus to get back into the hobby, mostly flying fixed wing. I've been a BMFA member for 30 years, been in a number of model clubs, moving about with work and am now settled in Perthshire. The past 25 years I have been almost exclusively into electric flight and my favoured models have been funfighter sized semi-scale warbirds. Since relocating to Scotland I have also taken up slope soaring. Have been dabbling in 3D printing for a few years, mostly producing scale parts for aeroplanes. Been actively participating in forums since the 90's mailing lists with the forum handle leccyflyer. I recognised quite a few names from the webinar chat.

I look forward to chatting and learning much more about CAD and especially 3D printing.

I have workshop with FDM and Resin 3d printers, a home made CNC router and am in the process of making a diode laser cutter. I make my indoor models using a by moulding depron or vector board to form a hollow fuselage a method we have developed over the last 10 years or so. I use various CAD packages and spent 15 years as a CAD draughtsman before retiring 10 years ago.

I am a recent returner to RC model flying, about 2018 and having started in the mid to late 70s with the Southampton club now flying with the Portsmouth club 🤣 

I am interested in electric planes, helis and drones 

I enjoy building from plans 

I use turbocad, profili, 3d printing and am looking to use laser cutting and cnc foam wing cutting. 

I also enjoy photography and hill walking

Hi, I'm Simon Vaitkevicius and I am BMFA Technical Director. Before this I was Records Officer for 10 years. When I am not revising rule books I like to fly scale, gliders and unorthodox models such as Ornithopters.  

My name is Bryan Lea. My first aeromodelling efforts were solid scale models built at Primary school followed by control line stunt, combat and team race. I am 75 and live in Milton Keynes. My interests include all forms of scale and in the past I have flown R/C scale, R/C glider and Indoor scale but my main interest now is free flight scale. I am a member of Peterborough MFC, SAM 35 and SAM 1066.

I'm Martin Oldershaw from Shropshire, an aeromodeller since as young as I can remember! In my early years, amongst other things, I remember building a Keil Kraft Caprice tow line glider (My Dad had to do a lot of running!), and a Kiel Kraft Ajax rubber-powered plane. I also did control line and built an electric around the pole. As a teenager, I earned enough money from a holiday job to buy and build my first RC model. It was a Ripmax Trainer with an Enya 40, and I also bought a Futaba Gold transmitter with Rx and the old 128 servos. I lived in Kent at the time and joined a model club where a chap called Dennis taught me to fly, he was an excellent tutor, and I will always remember him.
Many years later, at the age of 58, having built and flown many types of models, my interest is now mainly soaring. I also enjoy Cycling and have two 3d printers. Most of my career has been in some form of Engineering, for many of those years, I was an Engineering Manager in a food factory. For the last 11 years, I took a career change and am now a self-employed independent driving instructor. I have been a member of Shropshire Model Flying Club since the early 90's and today hold the position of Chairman.
My thanks for the great work the BMFA do, I think this ITAT forum is a great idea and hope to see it grow.
